New Birth!!!
Kassius (Kash) Bell was born May 2024! Kash is the 2nd son born to Kourtious Bell & Jarohnya Bailey.
Kash is also the grandson of Ronald & Joanne Bailey, great grandson of Ernestine Bailey.
Congrats to the Bailey family!
2024 Graduates
Lauren Sydney Thomas graduated from North Carolina A&T State University, Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology. Lauren will be furthering her education, pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health at Brown University in Rhode Island on a full academic scholarship!
Lauren is the daughter of Norman & Rondah (Quashie) Thomas, granddaughter of Ronald & Patricia (Glenn) Quashie.
Congratulations to Lauren & the Quashie family!
Mark Parker Jr. graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor's degree in business administration! Mark is currently working with the Virginia House of Delegates.
Mark is the son of Mark & Cynthia Parker and the grandson of Lillian Parker!

2023 Graduates

Sherrod Crenshaw graduated from Franklin Military Academy of Richmond Public Schools June of 2022. He plans to attend J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College where he will receive his Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and his license to become a Registered Nurse. Sherrod plans to transfer to Virginia Commonwealth University where he will receive his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. He is the son of Tiffany Ford/ Karen Ford late and grandson of Anita Ford
Norman Thomas III graduated magna cum laude from Heritage High School with honors. He plans to attend Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He will be the third generation to graduate from Morehouse College. He is the son of Rhondah & Norman Thomas. Grandson of Patricia & Ronald Quashie
Adam Porter graduated from the School of Business of VCU and will be in the field of supply management. He is the son of Lisa & Glenn Porter. Grandson of Lillian & Oswell Parker.
Tarris Scott Jr. is being promoted to the 6th grade. He was inducted into the National Honor Society, maintained all A’s first semester, A’s And B’a second semester. Tarris plays basketball, baseball and was a member of the patrols. He also was a newscaster for the Smoke Rose Live morning show! He is the son of Allison & Tarris Scott Sr. , grandson of Patricia & Ronald Quashie
Marriages
Jovita Dabney married Ernest Randolph married February 2023. They have one son, Elias and are expecting their 2nd son any day now! Jovita is the daughter of Terry McMillan and granddaughter of Ernestine Bailey

Michael Scott Parrish passed March 2023 in addition to his brother Stacey Henderson Parrish who passed in 2020. Michael & Scott were sons of John and Marion Parrish

Anita Renee Smith passed June 2022. Anita was the sister of Lucy Smith and frequented the reunion often.

Larry Christian passed away in 2022, he was the son of Alberto Bowman & Allen Christian.

Updates & Tasks
Family History Project
Hey you, yes you. We need your help! The History Committee is looking to update our family tree! If you've seen our Descendants page on this site you know its a big task no one person can handle!
We are looking for Team Leaders from each family to update their portion of the tree. Ex: Bailey, Bowman, Craddock, Glenn, etc. would each need a rep to assist with this project. Check out the meeting minute for recent volunteer selections

Virtual Meetings
The 2022 business meeting attendees moved to implement two virtual meetings a year. Our annual business meeting and a pre-planning meeting right before the reunion. We will no longer hold business meetings during the actual reunion. A survey will go out shortly regarding the purposed time frames and dates.
Scholarship Fundraiser
We are currently working on an idea to increase scholarship funds to better support those in pursuit of higher education. We have a number of students in college and we know how those expenses can add up. We want to to a blessing any way we can. Stay tune for more details.

The 2021 Bylaws draft has officially been adopted by board members.
